Overview:
This introductory course provides students with the core principles, structures, and processes of operational planning. It establishes the foundation for understanding how joint operations are conceived, planned, and coordinated across domains and agencies.
Aim:
To equip personnel with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to understand and contribute to the operational planning process within a joint headquarters or operational command.
High-Level Training Objectives:
Understand the purpose and structure of operational planning.
Identify the key elements of campaign planning and operational art.
Apply the basic steps of the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP).
Recognize the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders.
Understand how ISR and targeting integrate with planning processes.
